Parents give you birth, serve you when you are young and strengthen you while you are growing. What’s more special than sponsoring them, their parents or both? Once they get sponsored they can attain permanent residency and become Canadian citizen when certain amount of time has passed.
The sponsor must fulfil all the requirements similar to that of sponsoring a spouse/partner and children. In addition to that, the sponsor must have a minimum necessary income required for the sponsorship, provide for the parents and grandparents financially and repay social assistance benefits for the 20-year period.
Apart from the above-mentioned program, parents and grandparents can benefit from Super Visa Program under which they can live in Canada for up to 2 years provided that they fulfil certain requirements.
