What You’ll Do

As a Data Collection Clerk, you’ll play a critical role in gathering accurate and reliable survey data from individuals and businesses across Canada.

Your daily responsibilities will include

Communicating with Survey Participants: Engage with individuals and businesses through in-person visits or telephone calls to collect survey responses.
Conducting Interviews: Use computer-assisted interviewing tools to collect, verify, edit, and organize survey data on topics like health, labour, housing, environment, culture, and economics.
Safeguarding Data: Ensure the confidentiality and security of collected data, adhering to Statistics Canada’s strict privacy standards.
Documentation and Verification: Provide detailed documentation and verify the accuracy of collected information.

Statistics Canada is seeking candidates who meet the following eligibility criteria:

Residency: Persons residing in Canada, as well as Canadian citizens and permanent residents living abroad.
Education: Successful completion of two years of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
Foreign Credentials: Candidates with foreign educational credentials must provide proof of equivalency to a Canadian secondary school diploma or higher. Assessments from recognized organizations like World Education Services (WES) or International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) are required.
