Following a four-month hiatus, Ontario’s Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) has resumed sending out invitations to applicants. On June 6, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) conducted a focused draw for candidates located in Greater Sudbury. Evaluate your qualifications for the enhanced PNP streams. In this selection process, invitations were sent to candidates eligible for various OINP Employer Job Offer streams. The distribution among the streams is detailed below: Employer Job Offer Stream: Number of invitations sent out and the minimum score required. Foreign Worker Stream 3236. Stream for International Students 3454. High-Demand Skills Stream632. Candidates were required to have their profiles set up by June 3, 2025, at the latest. A total of 23 candidates were selected in the drawing on June 6. To be eligible, candidates needed a job offer from an employer situated in the Greater Sudbury census division. Candidates must have resided in Canada and hold at least a bachelor’s degree. Those who received invitations are required to submit their applications by June 20, 2025. More information about the application process is available on the OINP website. The announcement of these draws occurred shortly after OINP restarted its PNP draws on June 3, following a four-month pause. On that date, 3,719 invitations were granted under the OINP Employer Job Offer streams. Before this, the OINP had only conducted one draw in 2025, which took place on January 15, targeting just four candidates within the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream, specifically for foreign nationals involved in the Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot. Recently, OINP announced a reduction in its 2025 provincial nomination allocation, decreasing the total nomination slots to 10,750. On July 2, the OINP will introduce a new Employer of Interest (EOI) system, transitioning from an applicant-driven approach to one that is led by employers for its Employer Job Offer streams. Consequently, employers will need to start the application process by submitting job position details directly through an Employer Portal before applicants can register for an EOI. This will also replace the previous paper-based system with a digital one. Candidates who have already submitted EOIs will need to collaborate with their employers to reactivate those applications once the portal becomes operational on July 2.
